If your goal is to teach yourself Spanish there are all kinds of helpful interactive tools and free information that you can find online. Some of these language programs are available as downloads and others are available to order as DVD’s. You can also get mini-courses sent to you through your email. The cost of these language learning methods is zilch!

Of course the classic way to teach you Spanish is to simply take a course at night school or through your local Learning Annex or high school. Many people become fluent in a language this way. However not everyone has the time or money to learn a language in this fashion either.

Memorizing Vocabulary

Most language courses begin with learning vocabulary, along with often-used phrases and statements. Problem is, learning to ask for directions to the bus stop is only really useful in one scenario - when you’re looking for the bus stop. This means that you’re basically learning bits and pieces of language that you can only use in a limited manner - not enough to let you string together an entire conversation. Or is it?

It is your choice. Some people don’t learn as well from looking at lessons on a computer as they do from holding a book in their hands. You can also teach yourself the language simply by using audio CD’s or cassettes.

You can pop these in your audio player in your car and learn while you commute to work. You can also download free MP3’s that allow you to do the same. As long as you have a pair of earphones and some kind of audio player you are well set up to learn a language on your own.

To teach yourself Spanish all you really need is a bit of discipline. The good news is that it is one of the simpler languages to master
