People who really wish to learn the correct way to speak Spanish fluently can choose to work with an instructor who is a native speaker of the language. By working with an individual who has intimate knowledge and understanding of the Spanish language it will help ensure that you learn the proper pronunciation and correct use of all the words. Total immersion in a language is the best way to learn Spanish but that is not always an option. But that option isn’t always available to everyone. It’s not like everyone can just take a vacation in Mexico at the drop of a hat.

In addition the majority of individuals do not know people who are native Spanish speakers with the time and ability to teach them the language. This means that you will need to look for another way to learn to speak Spanish?

Just as a child learns to speak by hearing language as a baby and a toddler and then experiments with making sounds, adults also learn new languages by hearing them aloud. It is impossible to learn to speak Spanish fluently - or any other language for that matter - without hearing someone else speak it.

If you decide you want to “teach yourself” how to learn Spanish, books can be very helpful - especially if they provide visuals to help you make that mental connection between an image and a word such as pictures with both the English and Spanish word printed beneath them. An English to Spanish dictionary will also likely come in handy at times. But to truly learn to speak Spanish fluently if you don’t know someone personally who can teach you. With interactive, multi-level learning programs your brain receives more stimulation and input which can improve your learning curve and help you retain the material. Almost every individual is able to learn at an optimal level if they have a program of instruction that includes visual, audio and printed lessons.

Learning is also easiest and most effective when it is fun - regardless of your age. If the program designed to help you learn Spanish includes colorful, vibrant games and graphics it helps you concentrate longer, no matter what your age is. Anything that is truly interactive that stimulates and engages your brain on multiple levels shortens the learning curve and helps you retain what you learn - both short and long term. With the inclusion of a hands on approach you are able to become more proficient at the language because you have the opportunity to actually “speak” and perform the lessons.

Interactive learning also helps people learn faster. In as little as one or two months an adult can master a second language, and learn how to speak Spanish “fluently”. It just requires focus, dedication and an interactive program that includes a combination of fun teaching methods designed to help students learn Spanish quickly.
