The Best Ways to Study Spanish in London
Wednesday, July 22nd, 2009    Subscribe To Our FeedThere are plenty of great Spanish schools in London, but boy are they expensive! And as for most things in London you have to travel a lot to get to and from classes. London is a fantastic city to learn Spanish in but it’s a very big place and these central classes can be overbooked and overcrowded. It can also be a pain to travel too and from classes after an already long day at work and unfortunately a big reason for student drop-out of London Spanish classes is the extra effort needed for this. Consider your options before you decide how you’ll learn Spanish in London - there are a few easier ones out there.
You have a few choices to study Spanish in London. The first is to find classroom-based lessons at one of London’s many Spanish language schools, and the second option is a good home-study Spanish course.
Students often discover that with Spanish schools in London, the time and attention the Spanish teachers have to focus on you personally is reduced because their attention is divided between 10 or twenty other students.
Also, the pace of the classes always slows down so that the slowest students can keep up, which is unfair on the students who study hard and want to study fast but are forced to slow down too. This can’t be helped by most of London’s Spanish schools because the teachers need to give sufficient time and attention to each student and the slowest students always need the most time and attention.
So if you opt for a Spanish school in London to study your Spanish in, try and make sure you investigate the academies before hand and check they have a policy of keeping classes going at a fast speed, and removing students who do not attend or keep up.
An option you might find better for you is to learn Spanish at your own speed from a good home-study course. London has many high quality home-study Spanish courses available and for good value. Studying from home is much more comfortable and easy to keep up with consistently, while the home-study courses are also a fraction of the price of classroom-based lessons. You could study in the comfort of your own home, or practise on your way to work in the mornings!
